Ardavan Vossoughi
Born in IRAN, Tehran, 1986
From 2016, he was accepted in the “Composition” professional course in Chigiana academy in Siena, Italy by Salvatore Sciarrino & in 2019 received the “Merit Certificate” and also received the composition prize in 2021.
He studied contemporary music composition with Giovanni Bonato in Conservatory “Cesare Pollini” of Padua, Italy, and got his Masters from there in 2019.
He got Post-Masters of ” alta formazione di Composizione” in Accademia Santa Cecilia by Ivan Fedele ,Rome, 2022.
Many of his compositions have been performed or recorded in different countries such as Netherlands, Italy, USA, France, Iran & etc.
He was also commissioned by some festivals such as Scuola danza Padova and Cristofori Piano Festival.
In 2018, Solo Piano Piece “Hu Ma Ya” won the first prize of composition in Premio Adriatic LNG, Rovigo, Italy.
In 2020, the piece “Not to be” was announced as the winner of the Disklavier Composers Contest 2020, Cremona, Italy.
In 2020, the piece “The White Walls” gained Honorable Mention certificate of Alvarez Chamber Orchestra 2020 composition competition, England.
In 2021, the piece “Hu Ma Ya” won the Honorable mention of “Da_sh editions 1st International Composition Competition 2020/21”, Madrid, Spain.
In 2022, he was invited in the composer residency in “Fondation Biermans Laporte” and the piece “Emanatin was priemiered.
He was commissioned by “Fondazione Bassiri” for an event called “Arte e musica” and his piece “Le parole del sufi” for Clarinet Sib was premiered in the foundation on 15th of April 2023 in Fabro, Italy.
In 2024, He was commissioned by “Ensemble Dynamiqueparis” for “Xenakis today” festival and his piece “Alef” was premiered on 6th of May 2024 in Suresnes, France.
His new piece “Faqaan” was premiered by “Ensemble Suono Giallo” in “Seyr” concert on 20th of May 2024 in Berlin, Germany.
